Elevated Care. Better Outcomes.

Laguna Beach Recovery was built for people who need more than a standard treatment setting. Our program combines licensed detox and residential treatment, clinical structure, medical oversight, and a private coastal environment designed to help clients stabilize, engage, and begin rebuilding their lives with dignity.

Here, luxury is not separate from care. Comfortable accommodations, restorative surroundings, chef-prepared meals, individualized support, and high-touch clinical programming all work together to create an environment where clients can feel safe enough to do meaningful recovery work.

Conditions We Treat

Different substances affect the body, brain, mood, sleep, motivation, and nervous system in different ways. Alcohol withdrawal is not treated the same way as opioid withdrawal. Benzodiazepine dependence requires a different level of caution than stimulant use. Cannabis use disorder, synthetic drugs, counterfeit pills, and polysubstance use can each create a different clinical picture.

That is why treatment at Laguna Beach Recovery begins with understanding the full pattern, not just the primary substance. Our team looks at what someone has been using, how often, how long, in what combinations, and what happens when they try to stop. We also assess co-occurring mental health symptoms such as anxiety, depression, trauma, panic, ADHD, mood instability, sleep disruption, and emotional dysregulation because these concerns often shape both the substance use pattern and the recovery plan.

From there, care is individualized around safety, stabilization, clinical readiness, and long-term recovery needs. A client withdrawing from alcohol or benzodiazepines may need closer medical monitoring and a more cautious stabilization plan. A client recovering from stimulant use may need support with sleep, nutrition, mood, attention, exhaustion, and motivation. A client with opioid use disorder may need withdrawal management, craving support, relapse-prevention planning, and careful transition planning after residential care.

The goal is to treat the person in front of us, not force every client into the same path. By addressing the substances used, the symptoms underneath them, and the practical realities each client will return to, treatment can become more focused, more relevant, and more useful for life after discharge.

Real Stories. Real Recovery

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Laguna Beach Recovery licensed?

Yes. We are fully licensed to provide substance use detoxification and residential treatment by the California Department of Healthcare Services (DHCS). Licensing and regulatory compliance are important parts of operating a treatment program responsibly. Many clients and families look for a licensed facility because it provides an added level of accountability, oversight, and trust.

What types of treatment does Laguna Beach Recovery offer?

Laguna Beach Recovery offers a structured continuum of care that includes detoxification services, residential treatment, therapy and counseling, dual-diagnosis treatment, relapse prevention, and aftercare planning. Treatment is designed to help clients stabilize safely, begin meaningful recovery work, and build a stronger foundation for long-term sobriety. Each treatment plan is individualized based on clinical needs, mental health history, substance use patterns, and recovery goals.

Do you accept insurance for rehab and detox?

Many PPO insurance plans and other major insurance plans may be accepted, depending on the policy and available benefits. Coverage can vary based on factors such as medical necessity, deductibles, out-of-pocket costs, and authorization requirements. Our admissions team can verify insurance benefits confidentially so clients and families have a clearer understanding of what may be covered.

What should I expect during admissions?

Admissions usually begins with a confidential call to discuss current substance use, mental health concerns, treatment history, insurance or payment questions, and what level of care may be appropriate. From there, the admissions team helps guide the next steps, answer questions, and coordinate entry into treatment as smoothly as possible. The goal is to make the process clear, supportive, and as stress-free as possible during a difficult time.

Do you treat co-occurring mental health conditions?

Yes. Many people struggling with substance use disorders also experience mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, OCD, ADHD, or other psychiatric symptoms. When substance use and mental health issues occur together, both need to be addressed for treatment to be effective. This is often referred to as dual-diagnosis treatment.

Can I bring my phone or laptop?

Yes. You can bring your phone, laptop, and other portable technology to Laguna Beach Recovery. Access to phones and communication devices is individualized on a case-by-case basis with your clinical team and is often more limited during detoxification, when the focus is on stabilization, safety, and adjusting to treatment. Many business owners, professionals, and other clients with ongoing responsibilities choose treatment at Laguna Beach Recovery, and treatment plans are tailored to the needs of each person, including reasonable access to technology when clinically appropriate.
